展覽背景: 2003年,英國藝術家安東尼·葛姆雷(Antony Gormley)邀請廣州市華東鎮約300人,用五天時間製作了約20萬個泥人。 在設計中,有三個簡單的要求: (1) 每個小雕像都必須是手掌大小的; (2) 能夠站立和; (3) 有兩隻眼睛。 所以,當你看到人山人海的泥人,你可以想像每個小雕像反映了民眾的性格和思想。 亞洲展是在世界各地舉辦的一系列展覽,包括南美、英國和歐洲。
Exhibition Background: Back in 2003, British artist Antony Gormley invited around 300 people from Huadong Town in Guangzhou city, to make approximately 200,000 clay figures over five days.
There were three simple instructions:
- Each figurine had to be hand-sized;
- Capable of standing up and ;
- Have two eyes.
So, when you see there are a sea of figures, you can imagine how peoples’ character and thinking are reflected into our imagination. Asian Field is a series of exhibitions in all over the world, including South America, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
